What is Samchikivka art?

Samchykivka Art (Самчиківський розпис) is a decorative Ukrainian folk art style from Samchyky village, Ukraine (about 300 km west of Kyiv) and abounds in vibrant uplifting colour and shapes.

The tradition of decorative painting of the village of Samchyky’ is included in the National list of elements of intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine.
